Fenestrelle Fortress
The Forte di Fenestrelle is the biggest armed fortress in the world after the Chinese Wall. This masterpiece of military architecture was made in more than a century (from 1727 to 1850). The fortress was built on a 635 m. height difference with a staircase of 4.000 steps.
The fortress is situated in Fenestrelle about 40 minutes from Pinerolo, it is easily reachable through the regional road 23 (SS23).

From September to June : open daily except Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 09:00 to 18:00
July and August open every day from 09:00 to 18:00
